The BeezerFire Multi-Purpose Firefighter Glove Strap's unique design makes it the most versatile and useful firefighter glove strap available! It can be used as a glove strap, tool strap, hinge hook, garage door stop or IV bag hanger. MADE IN USA! Watch demo video below:
Just cinch your gloves down inside the loop to secure your gloves to your gear very tightly; never leaving you to roll-up on scene wondering where your old J.V. glove strap dropped your gloves: Back on the truck? Maybe back at the station? Ouch!
Once your gloves are on, your empty glove strap makes an excellent tool strap! Just slip an axe or halligan into the loop and cinch it down. Now you've got a tool on you and your hands are still free to carry more gear or climb a ladder. The tool won't slide out when you go down on your hands and knees like they do with metal loops or caribeaners. Wildland Firefighters: Looking for a convenient place to hang your Pulaski or Rouge during long hike-ins/outs? Use this handy little strap to hang your tool from your web gear!
This strap's oversized, nickel-plated, solid brass gate hook easily slips over the hinge of an open door making it an excellent hinge hook. Larksfoot the strap of your light box to the glove strap (light box strap through the glove strap's loop and up and over the glove strap's gate hook). Attach the strap's gate hook to the hinge. Now your suspended light box will help teams behind you know where you went, help you and your team stay oriented to an exit and it can't be knocked away by other firefighters or hose. Pretty handy strap, right? There's more:
GARAGE DOOR STOP
We've all seen the videos of hose teams going into garages for car fires. If your haven't seen them, you should YouTube it so you know about it. But here's the skinny: The garage door opener/springs give up in the rising heat, the door comes down behind them and now they're trapped in an enclosed space with the heavy smoke and heat of a burning car. The remaining crews outside go into rescue mode while the car fire becomes a structure fire. It happened to my department once. Maybe it's happened to you. This multi-purpose strap is a ready-made and quickly applied garage door stop. Open the loop by sliding all of the loop's slack out of the gate hook's eye toward the D-ring, so that it is one long strap and no longer a loop. Place the strap around either of the garage door tracks, above one of the brackets attaching the track to the wall, and fasten the gate hook to the D-ring (forming a loop around the track and suspended by the wall bracket behind the track). If the garage door comes down, the garage door wheel/caster coming down inside the track gets caught by the strap preventing the door from coming down any further!
IV BAG HANGER
EMTs/Medics: Starting a line away from the bus or pram? Wildland, Back Country, Rope Rescue or SWAT Medics: Need somewhere to hang your IV bag? Pull the loop's slack back out of the gate hook's eye, so it is one long strap again. Hang your bag from the gate hook, wrap the rest of the strap around pretty much anything: posts, railings, branches, fences, signs, a rear view mirror, your Lt. or whatever stationary object that is handy, and clip the D-ring back to the gate hook. Done!
EXTRA STOUT MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION
This strap is firefighter-designed and built to be firefighter-proof using oversized, solid brass, nickel-plated gate hooks and D-rings; much beefier and reliable hardware than on any other glove strap you'll find out there. The oversized gate hook has a larger gate and toggle that are easily operated with a gloved hand. The thick, solid brass D-ring is a continuous loop with no ends to pull away from each other. The webbing is the same 4000lb webbing you're probably (and should be) carrying in your gear right now as rescue straps. It is all held together with 69g nylon thread, the same thread the seat belts in your car are made with!
The BeezerFire Multi-Purpose Firefighter Glove Strap is among the most practical and useful of personal tools any well-prepared Firefighter can carry with their gear.
If you don't have one on your gear, order it now! You'll be glad you did!
