About BeezerFire:

BeezerFire makes and sells high-quality, American-made gear and accesories for firefighters. We strive to provide the best products and customer service in the industry.

How we began:

BeezerFire was started by Rob Beesley, a six year firefighter/EMT on an urban-interface fire department just into the mountains west of Denver, Colorado. In addition to being a firefighter, Rob is the Equipment Coordinator for his department responsible for purchase, maintenance and repair of all department equipment, apparatus, medical gear and tools. In this role he identified the need for several items that were either hard to find or only available in an inferior level of quality or reliability that would not stand up to the demands of a firefighter. We bought an industrial sewing machine and began making these products right in the basement for ourselves. It didn't take long to find that there was a demand for these products and we opened BeezerFire.com online! Soon we began adding other American-made manufacturers of interest to our customers.

Our Name:

Nearly every firefighter on Rob's fire department has been given a nick-name. There's Tardy Boy, Opie, Buster, Wild Bill, The Governor, Bender, Sexy, Pedro, Pants, Mama, Puffy, Tank, Sparky, Panch, Sweet Roll, Cool Whip and Chewy among others (several more better left unmentioned here. If your reading this, your probably a firefighter and familiar with firehouse lexicon). Many have taken to calling Rob, "Beezer", a play on his last name, Beesley, and we decided to use it.
